The UKSIP Association have just developed a suite of SIPS Technical Bulletins under the management of TRADA Technology.
These Technical Bulletins are intended to provide the reader with introductory information on using SIPS and a number of our members came together under the direction of TRADA to ensure these papers provide concise, comprehensive and practical information for anyone who is considering constructing with this innovative and versatile build method.
Andrew Orriss, chairman of UKSIPS commented, “To say the process has taken a little longer than anticipated is something of an understatement, but we wanted to make sure they were released into the market with accurate and precise information and these Technical Bulletins are well worth the wait.”
“One of the objectives for the Association is to increase the technical information in the market and to educate potential users in the built environment on the capabilities, variations and qualities of this technology.”
These papers are the first to be published by UKSIPS and the Association are planning to develop a second set of Bulletins in 2012 with design and sustainability being key themes. Ultimately, our objective is to create a SIPS Code of Practice.
We value your feedback on these Technical Bulletins, so please email any comments to victoria.jones@uksips.org
If you've got the skills to work within the SIPS industry then we'd like to hear from you.
